Hey gang. I’m a horrible blogger when there are friends around to keep me entertained. Sorry I haven’t been around.
This trip started off with plenty of nights with colleagues, and has carried on to run up the numbers on the expense report. My road-buddies: Adele, Leeann, Amanda, Ronan, and Ken were all within reach so far, and some of the best times on the road so far are thanks to them.
I spent my day off with Ken in Nashville. We got a hotel room right downtown and simply wandered the streets, trying on cowboy hats and boots, eating southern barbecue, and testing the brews. That night, everyone except Amanda made it out to Nashville and we spent a smashing evening at the famous Tootsie’s Orchid bar. Ken surprised all of us by knowing 99% of the lyrics to the songs played by the country band. I’m not one to enjoy country music, but hey, when in Rome... or... Nashville.
Last week, Chris, head of Photography at VRX called me and informed me that I will be starting my new training for P.O. at the end of April. This means the show goes on, and the trips will continue on to high-end hotels and resorts that I have been working hard to get a chance to shoot. I’m honored to have been chosen, and take it as a delightful compliment.
I can’t help but smile thinking of the opportunities that have been given me this past year. I hope you find yourself thinking the same thing for yourselves.
Stay close.
