The Life Photographic

Its been a long time since I’ve written here. My apologies for that folks. I’ve had a nice and long break. And yes, it has been very nice.

Christmas was killer, my buddy Jon came over from the peg, I moved into my new place with an old friend, and life has been simple. The time off from work got extended due to issues with the hotels, so I’ve gotten some pretty long holidays, and have been able to pursue some personal projects.

There are days when I still wake up wondering what hotel I need to shoot, and why I haven’t packed my bags and mapped out my route yet. Freaks me out. Almost 3 months without shooting a hotel and I still get that.... Freaky.

I’ve had to shift myself into gear the last month or so. It can be easy to get into the habit of waking up late, having coffee late in the afternoon, and wasting the day away in front of a book, or the tube. But, I noticed that working for vrx, I trained myself to be relaxed and patient, and now, its tough to shift back into gears with ease.

Tuesday morning I fly back into Vancouver, ready to get  home and pack my bags again to fly into Knoxville Tennessee.

I’ll write some more about what I did over the holidays in the next little while.

Glad to be back. Hope you’re still here.

Shifting Gears
