The Life Photographic

For the first time in my VRX career, I flew into my destination with a colleague. We’ve been close enough to meet up 2 times in 2 days. I don’t know how much more of me she can take.

As we both overstayed our welcome in the establishment, and swam in profound ideas, concepts, and theories of friends, love, art, and of course work, I found myself forgetting that 30 minutes away is a bleak hotel room waiting for me to give it another night of my life.

I’ve only had those amnesic moments a handful of times while on the clock. A short afternoon with Michi in SD, a few celebrated nights in NY with Adele, Disney and the Casino Royale premier with William, and now Amanda and I will try to beat any records posted, especially with so  many other photographers within 6 hours. Wow, when I list those nights out like that, it actually sounds like I’m meeting up with other photographers all the time. Only thing is; when you calculate that against time alone, its heartbreaking.

I’m pretty thrilled about this trip. Spring is knocking-about, and friends are close by. There’s a magnificent comfort in that.

Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation
