The Life Photographic

It has been a dream of mine for a long time to come to New York. Today, I finished up my shoot at the hotel, took the subway, and 35 minutes later, there I was! I was just like a little kid! I didn’t know where to start, and realized that when I got there, in my excitement to get to Manhattan, I completely forgot to look up the addresses of the places I really wanted to see.

The great thing is, that you really don’t have to plan a route to see things you know about. I walked down 5th avenue, and came across the new apple store. There’s a photo of it in the New York photo gallery. The store is filled with computers that have internet access. So I looked up times square, and slowly headed that way. I walked through the Trump Tower, along Central Park South, and down Broadway until I met my friend spider-man and Beyonce Knowles. Ok, I didn’t meet her, but I saw her. About 15 feet away, and what seemed like 100 people between me and her.

Now, don’t think I waited in line all day to get a glimpse of her. I didn’t. Within 2 minutes, I saw a ton of people run to planet hollywood, and wanted to see what was going on, and then there she was.

The Hello Deli was great. Unfortunately I didn’t eat there. But I did buy my brother an awesome shirt with a big photo of Rupert on it. I chatted it up with Rupert and his wife, and they asked if they could trade me jobs for a little while... you wish Rupert, you WISH!

My first day walking through Manhattan
